I seen many Drones over the last few months so I figured now would be a great time to list of five of them that would make a great gift idea. Keep in mind that this list is based off of my personal experiences.

First drone on my list is from Vivitar. It was sent to me for review and I was instantly surprised about how lightweight it was. The body is made from a strong styrofoam that can survive being dropped hundreds of times. I love that I can control it with my smartphone (iOS or Android) but for a more enjoyable experience I recommend using the psychical controller. The app had some connectivity issues but at least I was able to fly it around. This is one of the few Drons that make flying in the dark fun thanks to its 32 LEDs. My video review will show off footage from the built in HD camera.

Next drone on my list is from Aerix comes with a Virtual Reality headset which lets you feel like you are in the drivers seat. It works just like google cardboard so when you’re done flying, You can use the headset to watch movies or youtube videos. Its super small which makes it the most portable Drone on this list and costs $79.

I got to see Lumi from WowWee in action during CE Week. It connects to your smart phone and has games you can play with it with AR games on your smart phone. If you are looking for a drone with replay value, This might be the one for you. It cost under $80 on amazon.

The last Mario Kart game featured new hover vehicles and now it is available as a Drone. Its available at ToysRus for under $100. It does not have a camera or smart phone connections but hey, Its Mario!

Last but not least is the DJI Mavic Pro is not the type of drone for kids or armatures, The DJI Mavic Pro will set you back about a thousand dollars. This full size drone can fold up to the size of a water bottle, Making it great for travelers. This is not a toy but it will take beautiful photos and videos with its 4K camera. Its one of the most expensive drones out there but it has the best battery life and the highest quality camera.
