5 weirdly awesome gadgets from CE Week NY 2017

It wasn’t easy but here are my 5 personal picks of gadgets I saw at CE Week NY 2017 that are weirdly awesome.

Pocket Drone 2 by Odyssey Toys

When it comes to Drones, Most people want something that is portable, easy to use, and doesn’t cost over $99. Pocket Drone 2 can fold up in seconds and is only .2 lbs! It can connect to your iOS or Android device so there is no need for a complicated controller. The built in 720p camera can be used for photos, videos, and even selfies with the auto hover mode.

Bluetooth Spinner by Fidget Tech

CE Week had dozens of audio products including smart speakers but the only one that really caught my attention was the Bluetooth speaker from Bluetooth. I was unable to hear how that speaker sounds in person but it just looks cool and it doesn’t cost much. It makes for a unique gift that kids and teens will take on the go and show their friends.

Merge Cube by MergeVR

All the tech giants are releasing some type of augmented reality product this fall season but Merge Cube more of a interactive toy. It will be released in the Fall and already has dozens of apps and games ready to download at launch for free.

Go 3D Printer by Deltaprintr

This is a 3D printer that is small enough to sit on your desk without taking up much space. Its comes pre-assembled so you can start printing a bunch of weird things right out of the box. It costs $499 but this is a high quality printer that looks better than the rest.

VR One by MSI

I already covered the VR One backpack in a pervious blog post but I had to included it on this list. Putting a computer on your back is a weird idea but this might be the best way to jump in. Especially if you’re someone who wants something that works right out of the box. Just keep in mind that you will have to buy the Oculus Rift or HTC Vive separately.
