Lenovo partners up with Star Wars to bring light saber battles to life! Many Star Wars games featured lightsaber battles but never in Augmented Reality. Jedi Challenges will feature 3 different game modes. Lightsaber Battle mode allows gamers to go against villains like Kylo Ren and Darth Vader. There is a strategy Strategic Combat and Holochess mode which is based off of the board game we saw in A New Hope.
How does it work?
Jedi Challenges uses a smartphone-powered Lenovo Mirage AR headset. Included in the package is a Lightsaber controller and Tracking Beacon used to detect your movement. It will be compatible with both Android phones and iPhones.
When and where can I get one?
Right now you can pre-order on LENOVO. Expect to see Star Wars: Jedi Challenges in local retailers at the beginning in November. There is no word if additional content will be available after launch but LENOVO says that Jedi Challenges will have hours of Star Wars gameplay.
