New year, New Setup! This BenQ monitor offers full HD at the right price. BenQ reached out to me and asked if I wanted to review this new productivity monitor, I said yes and I didn’t hear back from them. Within a week, FedEx delivered this huge package and I was very excited to set up this new monitor.

Design

From far away, This BenQ monitor looks basic but a closer look will reveal small important details. The thin bezel is a perfect example of a feature you won’t notice until the monitor is turned on. It certainly looks like a piece of 2018 tech. My other 24-inch monitor from Acer looks ugly compared to it. Another small detail back and on the base is a unique texture pattern. Its a very subtle detail but makes the overall design feel like a premium gadget. There is also a built-in cable organize in the base of the monitor. The cover comes off easily so that you can hide the power and HDMI cables.

Eye Care

As I get older, I am more aware how taking care of my health and that includes my vision. Almost every monitor has modes to help you see better but BenQ goes above that with Eye Care Technology. Staring at a computer screen all day can cause eye fatigue and irritation. This monitor has proprietary tech that filters out hazardous blue light. There is also ” Flicker-Free Technology” which helps with eye fatigue as well.

Final thoughts

The BenQ GL2580H 24.5″ frameless monitor is not packed with features but it has the plenty of quality to justify the price of under $150. This monitor is an excellent choice for getting work done and even some casual gaming at 1080p 60fps. I’ve been using this monitor for almost a month now and quality has lived up to my standards as someone who works in front of a computer most of the day. I’ve been using it mostly for video editing and the 2ms GTG response time has been helping with that and for running my blog.
