VR Bar is not a bar, Its a place to play HTC Vive games without spending hundreds of dollars of a VR setup. Even a tech geek like me doesn’t have all the equipment needed to play all of these VR games so its no surprise why I am on board with this idea. I recently visited the space to check it out for myself and managed to record to some video.
I played Space Pirate Trainer, Fruit Ninja, and The Lab. Those are just a handful of the games that you can pick from. Pricing is $10 for 10 minutes but you could ask for more time if needed. As I mentioned in the vlog, I feel that 10-15 minutes is the sweet spot for VR gaming. Especially if it is a game that involves lots of movement. I was told that weekends can get busy with families but on the weekday you should be able to walk in and get setup playing right away. VR Bar is currently location at 261 Smith Street in Brooklyn, Less than a few blocks away from the Barclays Center. I am looking forward to my next visit and I hope other NYC gamers vist as well.
